PSY, o famoso rapper sul-coreano está de volta com um novo single: Gentleman.
Numa conferência de imprensa em Seul, PSY disse esperar que os norte-coreanos gostem deste novo single e que a sua função é tão somente arrancar um sorriso das pessoas.
Eis este “Gentleman”.

Para quem ainda não sabia, a Coreia do Norte tem um calendário próprio, ao ritmo do aniversário do Grande Líder.
Se Kim Il-sung fosse vivo (não sendo é como se fosse) faria hoje 101 anos, mas o calendário marca Juche 102. Kim Il-sung nasceu em 1912 e a partir daí começou o ano 1: Juche 1(Juche é um conceito criado por Kim Il-sung e que significa algo como “a Coreia por ela própria”).
Por isso, o ano de 2013 é para os norte-coreanos o ano de 102.
O dia é especial para (quase) todos os norte-coreaanos, mesmo para aqueles que fugiram do país. Quase todos os dissidentes que tenho entrevistado ao longo dos anos me dizem que Kim Il-sung é visto por todos como um herói. Como o homem que libertou a Coreia do Norte dos japoneses. Como o homem que trouxe prosperidade (até finais da década de 80) para o país. Já Kim Jong-il não reunia a mesma unanimidade e “adoração”.
Daí que o dia 15 de Abril seja, de facto, um dia especial para os norte-coreanos e, neste ano, para o mundo que espera em suspenso por um gesto perigoso de Kim Jong-un.
E porque hoje é dia 15 de Abril, ofereço-vos o remake sonoro da minha viagem à Coreia do Norte em 2006. Um retrato que apenas mostra a versão norte-coreana. Esta é a história tal como me foi contada.

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) — The dear respected
Kim Jong Un received a letter from the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front (AINDF) on Monday, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
The letter said: Thanks to the April 15 when the sun of Juche rose, the Korean nation could put an end to its history of distress interwoven with flunkeyism and national ruin, greet a new bright morning and take the road of eternal happiness and prosperity of the nation with spring sunshine given off from Mangyongdae.
The life of Kim Il Sung was an epic-like one of an invincible hero who clarified the truth that arms are a lifeline of the nation and guarantees the victory of revolution, restored the country by leading to victory the hard-fought battles against the Japanese and the U.S. imperialists under the banner of Songun and honorably defended the sovereignty of the nation.
He brightly indicated the path for national reunification by setting forth just and rational proposals and ways for reunification including the three principles of national reunification, the ten-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo.
The cause of the Songun revolution based on Juche is being successfully carried forward by you Marshal Kim Jong Un, who are identical to Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.
In the letter AINDF vowed to glorify the idea of national reunification and leadership feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and vigorously advance for independent reunification, more deeply cherishing in mind the firm belief that Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are always with the Korean people.
It also pledged to join the all-people resistance to frustrate the frantic moves of the hostile forces for a nuclear war and make positive contribution to bringing about a fresh turn in the efforts for national reunification in this significant year which marks the 65th anniversary of the DPRK and the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War in response to the special statement of the government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK.
