Depois de algumas negociações, a Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union vai garantir a transmissão dos Jogos Olímpicos de Londres na televisão norte-coreana, a KCTV.
Da Coreia do Norte, seguem 56 atletas para a capital de Inglaterra. Luta livre, boxe, halterofilismo e judo são as modalidades que mais medalhas têm dado ao país, num total de 41, desde 1964.
O diário britânico The Telegraph ensina algumas frases – que podem ser ditas em coreano – para quem quiser estabelecer uma conversação simpática com um norte-coreano, durante a temporada olímpica que se aproxima:
