Ontem, e pela primeira vez, o regime norte-coreano transmitiu em directo o jogo contra Portugal. Embalado que estava pela bravura dos seus jogadores frente ao Brasil, assim pensou que o mesmo fosse acontecer frente à equipa portuguesa. Veja-se o que escreve o jornal sul-coreano Chosun Ilbo:

North Korea broadcast live the country’s devastating rout at the hands of Portugal in the World Cup on Monday. A commentator from [North] Korean Central TV expressed disappointment when Portugal scored its first goal 29 minutes into the first half, saying, “We should have been more aware of the forwards coming from the second line.” But he was hopeful of the equalizer that never came, adding, “If we play our own style of game, we will be able to score.”

It was not to be. Portugal fairly pounded the North Korean goal in the second half to finish 7-0, leaving the North Korean commentator speechless. It was the first time North Korea ever broadcasted a World Cup match live.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il “gives regular tactical advice during matches using mobile phones that are not visible to the naked eye,” the team’s manager Kim Jong-hun told ESPN Thursday. The coach dutifully told the sports channel that Kim Jong-il developed the James-Bond technology himself.

A mim não me espanta nada. O senhor tem dinheiro que se farta para desenvolver estas e outras tecnologias, ou não andasse ele a roubar dinheiro aos trabalhadores…
